Fountain of Wealth : Largest fountain in the world

Singapore may be a small country but it has a fountain which is the largest in the world - the Fountain of Wealth. It may not match the magical prowess of the Fountain of Youth in the movie " Pirates of the Carribbean" but it does hold its own in terms of design. History The fountain of wealth was built in 1995, together with Suntec City which is one of the largest shopping mall in Singapore. It is made of silicon bronze and was designed and manufactured in Australia by DCG Design and Meridian Projects before being installed at its current location. The fountain structure consists of a large 66 metre circular ring supported by four diagonal pillars. The fountain of wealth has a height of 13.8m and spans 1683 square metres, allowing it to be recognised in 1998 by the Guinness Book of Records as the largest fountain in the world!
